We have two servers that house only document libraries. We have imposed quota's for them and set at 1.6 GB. We have also DAOSified the servers and the libraries. Recently I found a library with a quota set at 1.6 GB, but the Logical size was 3.3 GB. The physical size is a little over 1 MB.
Thinking that someone may have temporarily removed the quota, I found a library with logical size of 1.7 GB (quota still at 1.6). I was able to create a document with a 50 MB attachment in that library and save it.
My question: With DAOS enabled, is the quota looking at the phyiscal size? I thought that looked at the logical size. If it is looking at the logical size, how was I able to create and save a file (or even go over the quota).
By the way, the account I tested with had no special privileges and Quota enforcement (on the server doc) is set at Check file size when extending the file.
